Lanyards

Safety Lanyards in Pakistan

A safety lanyard is the link between your full body harness and a secure anchor point, so choosing the right type matters as much as the harness itself. Saif Al Burhan supplies safety lanyards in Pakistan for construction, scaffolding, telecom towers, oil & gas and maintenance work. All lanyards ship from our Karachi stock with nationwide delivery.

Shock Absorbing Lanyard

A shock absorbing lanyard has an energy absorber pack that deploys during a fall and limits the force on your body, which makes it the standard choice for fall arrest. The absorber extends as it deploys, so you need enough clearance below the anchor. Always check the manufacturer's clearance figure before use. Look for EN 355 certification, and replace any lanyard that has arrested a fall.

Double Hook Lanyard

A double hook lanyard, also called a twin-leg or Y-lanyard, lets you clip one hook to the next anchor before releasing the other. You stay connected 100% of the time while moving, which is essential for climbing towers and crossing scaffolding or steel structures. Park the unused hook on a designated parking point, not on a side D-ring.

Scaffold Hook Lanyard

Scaffold hooks have a wide, self-locking gate that fits around scaffold tubes and structural beams, so anchoring on site is quick. Snap hooks have a smaller opening for connecting to D-rings and anchor points. For frequent movement on scaffolding, choose a shock absorbing double lanyard with scaffold hooks.

Restraint & Work Positioning Lanyards

A restraint lanyard stops you from reaching an edge where a fall could happen, so it prevents the fall rather than arresting it. It has no energy absorber and must never be used for fall arrest. Work positioning lanyards and belts attach to the side D-rings and hold you in place, so you can work hands-free on poles and structures. Where there is a risk of falling, always use them with a separate fall arrest system.
