Rope Grab & Retractable Fall Arresters

Stay protected while you move with retractable fall arresters and rope grabs from Saif Al Burhan. Self retracting lifelines and vertical lifeline rope grabs lock automatically in a fall, ideal for tower climbing, tank work and vertical access.

Retractable Fall Arrester in Pakistan

A retractable fall arrester, also called a self retracting lifeline (SRL) or fall arrest block, lets workers move freely while staying connected to an anchor. Saif Al Burhan supplies retractable fall arresters in Pakistan, along with rope grab fall arresters for vertical lifelines. They suit construction, telecom towers, oil & gas, tank maintenance and warehouse work at height. All equipment ships from our Karachi stock with nationwide delivery.

How a Self Retracting Lifeline Works

A self retracting lifeline has a cable or webbing line inside a housing. The line pays out and retracts as you move, so it stays taut. If you fall, a braking mechanism locks the line within a short distance, much like a car seatbelt. That means less free fall and less clearance needed than with a standard shock absorbing lanyard. Where possible, mount the unit overhead, directly above the work area, to reduce swing falls.

Fall Arrest Block Options: Galvanized vs Stainless Steel

Galvanized steel cable is a durable, economical choice for general construction and industrial use. Stainless steel cable resists corrosion better, which matters for coastal sites, offshore work and chemical plants, and in Karachi's humid, salty air. We stock Honeywell Miller Falcon self retracting lifelines in both options, including the leading-edge rated Falcon Edge.

Rope Grab Fall Arrester & Vertical Lifeline

A rope grab fall arrester travels up and down a vertical lifeline with you and locks onto the rope if you fall. It keeps both hands free for climbing ladders, towers, silos and tanks. Connect it to the front (chest) D-ring of your full body harness. Only use it on the rope type and diameter the manufacturer specifies.

Safe Use & Inspection

Look for EN 360 certification on retractable fall arresters and EN 353-2 on rope grabs. Inspect the housing, line, hooks and locking action before every use. Any device that has arrested a fall must be taken out of service until it is inspected by the manufacturer or a competent person.
