The EP 171 Electronic Noise Reduction Earmuff is designed to provide hearing protection while allowing users to hear surrounding voices more clearly. Its electronic sound amplification system receives sounds within the 400–4000 Hz frequency range and amplifies them for improved voice clarity. When external noise exceeds 82 dB, the sound amplification is interrupted to help protect the user's hearing. With an NRR of 28 dB and SNR of 31 dB, it is suitable for shooting, hunting, industrial training, and other noise-intensive activities. The battery compartment allows easy replacement for continued operation.
